East Coast 10 - 0 Reading
On the final day of the season things were tight at the top of SEMLA East Division 2. Although Brighton Panthers were in the driving seat, both East Coast and East Grinstead still had a shot at promotion to Division 1.
The day turned out to be an anticlimax in the end as Reading were only able to gather 7 players together for the match. Unable to field a team Reading conceded the game, granting East Coast an 10 -0 win and destroying all hopes of automatic promotion for East Grinstead.
